My final poster i have printed, i am happy with the outcome with it and feel it improved a lot from the earlier concepts.
Rationale
I wanted to highlight the real cost of dealing with Agribusinesses,
but as consumers we can make a choice. The poster is a juxtaposition of two
images – a grave and basket of fruit to show conflicting outcomes. I wanted a
direct statement to get a response with the colours of fruit representing a
hopeful solution to the issue.
The image of a grave is often associated with sadness and suffering
(Ihi). But it can also be a time of reflection by the living, of what has been,
or what may have been. I want the
readers to reflect on what has or is happening to our local farmers; make them
feel sorry (Wehi) and make a better choice.
